Backpacks: Alpine Backpacks

Mountain Expedition

The monster volume alpine expedition pack with the capacity and comfort for long approaches to remote peaks, multi-week ski traverses and all base camp carries - no more dangling overload gear around the outside of your pack. At camp it can then be stripped down and compressed to less than 20 litres for ascents and day circuits. The Mountain Expedition is constructed from snow-shedding synthetic fabrics with low moisture absorption. It features a versatile alpine racking system, quick-access side zip, draw-string throat, removable top cover/bum bag module and advanced abrasion resistant design. It can be configured to virtually any mountaineering backpack requirement. Synchro-FORM hip and shoulder harness assemblies complete this performance pack system, simultaneously delivering brilliant dynamic comfort and stability.

Developed and tested over two years on the Haute Randonnee Pyrenee (HRP) route. The Haute Route combines a truly innovative, adaptive-flex frame sheet with superbly comfortable harness components, lighter weight fabrics and a mix of features perfectly suited to the varying demands of long-distance mountain treks with, or without refuge facilities. Its uniquely innovative, 2-part frame sheet employs a firm polymeric hinge in the upper-thoracic region. This gives the harness panel just enough flexibility in exactly the right place for it to follow changes in your back profile. Bag features include trekking pole and tool carry, built-in rain cover, over-load pouch, media pocket and hip harness stash pockets. This clean, compact modern alpine pack is designed as much for going up as it is coming down. Full alpine racking, including ski and snowboard carry, as well as a generous 50L capacity make this bag perfect for those day trips that start and finish in the dark. The Geehi has a long list of built-in features. Our unique Contour-FLEX shoulder harness keeps bigger loads close the body, while the stowaway hip harness tucks neatly out of the way to make way for a climbing harness or when not otherwise required.
